Officers Slain in the Line of Duty

 In Remembrance of 

Patrolman Frank A. Gwiazdowski 

Was struck by a "hit and run" driver on October 11^th 1936 while en route to police headquarters. He died from the injuries a few short hours later! The youthful operator and passengers of the vehicle were apprehended ten minutes after the officer was struck down, a short distance away from the scene at Boswell Avenue and Hickory Street
