INVESTIGATIVE DIVISION

The Investigative Division is commanded by a lieutenant and staffed with one sergeant and a compliment of Detectives and Investigators.

The Division is made up of several units, each being responsible for the investigation of crime and conducting prevention activities germane to their specific function.  Detectives assigned to these units undergo extensive training to become intimately familiar with the equipment, technology, and procedures that facilitate their respective investigations.

These units include:

The division is responsible for the investigation of all major criminal activity and the intensive follow-up investigation of other crimes and incidents, which require certain expertise and resources available to the Division, or that may be of a sensitive nature. The Division assists the Department in the following capacities:

• Serves as liaison to other law enforcement agencies, and various organizations
• Provides support services, technical assistance, and general resources for patrol operations.

• Grants secured for Underage Drinking Enforcement Campaign & Youth Citizens Academy
• Evidence Processing Laboratory and Forensic Services
